Founded in Wakefield in 1988, Spawforths is a major regional independent planning consultancy comprising three main areas of expertise – planning, architecture and urbanism. With 40 plus staff, we specialise in planning applications, appeals and development plan representations; masterplans and development frameworks for developers and community groups; and designing creative sustainable buildings
Since 2002 we have been increasingly active in Yorkshire Forward’s pioneering Renaissance programme, working as lead consultant on three Renaissance areas in recent years. In addition, our expanding urbanism team focuses on major masterplanning projects for large-scale landowners and public agencies.
